The Cohen Residence in Bayshores Drive is situated within the affluent community in Newport Beach. The former lot where the late John Wayne resided is now an art noveau house and a unique garden of succulent collections. The 15,000 sf home is also a delight to the boat travelers and visitors alike due to its popularity in the area. Owners Bob and Beverly Cohen, calls this house- the Duke's Point in honor of the late actor's name. It is a fun house, really made to party.
Butch Lara had provided this house a major impact in the planning, design and detailing during its construction period of six years. He met the client at the start of this decade and eventually became a trusted family friend helping in their design demand that included their hotel, the Four Seasons in Los Angeles.
